Boca Raton floors, east and west
Boca Raton counted 97,422 residents inside its city limits (2020 Census), in a city first incorporated in 1925. It reaches from the Atlantic across the Intracoastal Waterway and Lake Boca Raton onto the mainland, and roughly one square mile of it lies on the barrier island known as Deerfield Beach Island.
The postal name covers more ground than the city itself. West Boca Raton is unincorporated Palm Beach County, but many households there carry a Boca Raton address, and our crews work all 16 of those ZIP codes. Inside the city, the 2020 count found 48,728 housing units, and 16.2% of them were empty when the census was taken.
High-rise and mid-rise units by the water
Most apartment-style buildings east of Federal Highway have written flooring rules. The manager will usually ask for the product data sheet, the underlayment’s sound test and proof of our insurance well ahead of delivery. We help with the association’s approval paperwork and install the sound-rated underlayment your building requires.
Buildings also set loading-dock times and hours when noisy work may happen. We book tile removal inside those windows so the neighbors below hear it only when the rules allow. No one can promise what a board decides, so we don’t schedule a start date until you have the approval letter.
Ranch houses and big tile rooms out west
Many homes west of I-95 are single-story houses on a concrete slab, often with large ceramic tile through the living areas and carpet in the bedrooms. Vinyl plank can sometimes float right over sound tile, which saves a day of demolition and the dust that comes with it. Where tile is loose or hollow, it comes up first.
Older floor tile and the adhesive under it can contain asbestos. Get a lab test on both before any demolition starts, and never sand or grind it.
A home that waits for you all summer
Some Boca Raton owners head north in late spring. A house with the air conditioning set high and the doors shut can build up humidity, and carpet is where you smell it first. Stone-polymer (SPC) plank stays dimensionally stable in that damp air, unlike laminate or wood.
If you want the work done before you leave, tell us your flight date at the measurement. Planks need to sit in the conditioned room first, so we count that time backward from your departure. Many owners hand a key to a neighbor and get photos of the finished rooms.
What a Boca Raton floor costs
Most jobs here come in at $5 to $12 per square foot installed, before your discount. A 200 square foot room is roughly $1,200 to $1,900 before the discount. Condo work with a specified underlayment, tile tear-out and slab leveling are the things that push a total higher.
Enter your square footage in the cost calculator for a working range. The free measurement then turns that range into a written number for your rooms.
